Signing of Agreement on association and free trade area with the European Union will give Ukraine an opportunity to develop in social and economic direction in a way as majority of population of Ukraine expects.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this, opening a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where it is planned to approve a draft Agreement on association between Ukraine and the EU.
“Without any exaggerations, an association with the European Union will bring crucial consequences for Ukraine. We do not put a membership of Ukraine in the EU into agenda today, but signing the Agreement on association we create conditions for successive movement in a direction of European quality of life”, - he said.
According to the words of M. Azarov, Ukraine not only wants to join the biggest trade-economic partner, but society with modern standards of democracy and human rights.
