President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso and President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy called President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych to show a progress in reforms for signing of the Agreement on association at Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius.
According to an own UNIAN correspondent in Brussels, it was said in their common statement spread after the meeting in New York within a framework of the UN General Assembly.
Both Presidents expressed their commitment to move forward to the signing of the Association Agreement. Moreover, the parties discussed the issues of cooperation in the energy area, as well as issues of financial assistance.
