Yanukovych promises Barroso not to introduce state of emergency in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych promised President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso not to introduce a state of emergency in Ukraine.

According to an own UNIAN correspondent in Brussels, representative of the European Commission Olivier Bailly said this at press conference, informing journalists about a telephone talk of the presidents.

“President Yanukovych said that he does not foresee introducing of state of emergency in Ukraine”, - said the representative of the European Commission.

During a telephone talk Barroso also expressed “deep concern about development of the situation, reports on attacks on journalists and reports on mission people”, - said Bailly.
