President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin discussed measures on de-escalation of the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts.
The press service of the head of the Ukrainian state disclosed to UNIAN that a telephone talk of Poroshenko and Putin in a context of implementation of peaceful plan of the President of Ukraine, including de-escalation of the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts, took place on June 17.
The Presidents discussed a number of urgent measures, which are necessary to carry out for ceasing of fire and they also discussed efficient ways of its monitoring.
Poroshenko also called on Putin to promote a release of all captured journalists and activists.
