Ukrainian forces were attacked overnight in several areas of the Donbas conflict zone, but the night passed relatively calmly in Luhansk and the south of Donetsk region, the Anti-Terrorist Operation press service has written on Facebook.
"A barrage of BM-21 Grad rockets caused fire damage to our units in the area of Novotroitskoe, but there were no casualties among the Ukrainian soldiers as a result of the shelling," the press service said.
In addition, the insurgents fired mortars at Ukrainian positions near the Gorlovka water reservoir, the village of Nikishino and the Ostraya Mogyla burial mound.
"There were attempts [by militants] to storm the positions of the Ukrainian forces near Ozeryanovka. The attack was repulsed, there were no casualties, and the checkpoint remained under our control,” the press service said.
