Sweden has allocated EUR 1.1 million to UNICEF to create a safe environment for children and families in the east of Ukraine, Ambassador of Sweden in Ukraine Andreas von Beckerath has said on Twitter.
"Sweden provided the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) with 1.1 million euros to create a safe environment for children and families in the east of Ukraine," he wrote on Friday.
"The money is for the more than 7,000 children who need support from the world," he added.
