The flow of people across the Ukrainian border has significantly increased in both directions at Russia’s Gukovo and Donetsk checkpoints, according to the report of a special OSCE monitoring mission on the morning of November 12.
In particular, for the first time since the end of August, the number of people who entered Russia exceeded the number of those who entered Ukraine.
The mission has also recorded the greatest number of people in military clothing crossing the border in both directions in the period it has been monitoring the checkpoints. In particular, about 630 people in military clothing crossed the Donetsk checkpoint, mostly from Russia to Ukraine.
The number of people who cross the Ukrainian-Russian border in groups has also increased, the OSCE report said.
The main categories of those who cross the border have not changed: these are families traveling by car or on foot with lots of luggage, elderly people with a small amount of baggage, adults without any luggage or men in camouflage uniforms with or without luggage.
