The total number of attacks on Ukrainian forces by Russian-backed militants and Russian troops since a ceasefire was declared on September 5 now exceeds 3,580, military expert Dmytro Tymchuk said on his Facebook page on Friday.
According to Tymchuk, over the last day there were about 50 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops, in particular: near Donetsk - 22 attacks, Luhansk - 11, Debaltsevo - 10, Mariupol - 3, and Pervomai - 1.
As earlier reported, Tymchuk said that after massing at Hranitne in Donetsk region, Russian troops and militants made an attempt to advance to Starognatovka, but were repelled.
