The number of Ukrainians displaced from Crimea, Sevastopol and the Donbas conflict zone now amounts to 490,000 people, MP Iryna Herashchenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"Nearly 19,501 people have been displaced from Crimea and Sevastopol to other regions of Ukraine, including 10 who left the peninsula in the last day,” Herashchenko said.
“The number of people displaced from the [conflict] zone is 470,545, including 124,701 children and 98,286 disabled people and pensioners. In last 24 hours, this figure has increased by 2,295 people.”
As UNIAN reported earlier, since Russia started its military aggression against Ukraine in February, more than 4,300 people have been killed, another 10,000 injured, and hundreds of thousands forced to leave their homes.
On November 24, Herashchenko reported that 458,148 people had been relocated to other regions of Ukraine from the conflict zone, including 124,302 children.
