There were 36 attacks by Russian-backed militants on Ukrainian army positions with the use of various types of guns, tanks, mortars and Grad multiple rocket launchers on Wednesday, the press center of Ukraine’s Anti-Terrorist Operation headquarters reported on Wednesday on its Facebook page.
"Unsuccessful attacks by the insurgents were recorded near the following villages: Zolote, Stanychno-Luhanske, Donetskiy, Shastya, Triohizbenka, Novobahmutivka, Opytne, Tonenke, Donetsk Airport, Avdiivka, Novokalynove, Bohdanivka, Mius, Chornukhyne, Nikishyne, Artemove, Kamianka, Debaltseve, Vynohradne, Talakivka, Lomakyne, Vodiane, Chermalyk and the city of Mariupol," the report reads.
"The artillery of Ukrainian forces fired on the positions of the insurgents 18 times in response to their attacks," the press center said.
