There have been 55 attacks on Ukrainian army positions by Russian-backed militants using guns and Grad rockets in the last day, the press center of Ukraine’s Anti-Terrorist Operation headquarters reported on Monday on its Facebook page.
"The insurgent activity has moved to the area of Debaltseve. The following villages were again attacked: Mius, Chornukhyne, Debaltseve, Orlovo-Ivanivka, Shahta Poltavska, Nikishyne, Olhovatka, Fashchevka, Artemove, Ridkodub, and Kodema," the report reads.
The Luhansk and Donetsk bridgeheads were fired by the insurgents at the villages of Verkhnia Olkhova, Sokolnyky, Artema, Shastya, Stariy Aidar, Stanychno-Luhanske, Triohizbenka, Frunze, Opytne, Marinka, Avdiivka, and Mykolaivka.
"The artillery of Ukrainian forces returned fire on the positions of the insurgents 52 times in response to their attacks," the press center said.
