Russian-backed militants from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic have for a sixth time prevented special observers of the OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine from entering the occupied town of Novoazovsk, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe said on Monday.
"The observers were stopped near the village of Shyrokyne, which is also occupied by insurgents, and warned that they would not be allowed to go further. However, [the militants] didn’t give the reason for this," Radio Liberty reported, with reference to a report by the OSCE mission.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the observers of the OSCE mission recently visited the area of the Donetsk airport.
