The Ukrainian-controlled village of Piski, nicknamed “The Ukrainian Stalingrad” by its defenders and just 10 kilometers away from Donetsk airport, has been attacked again, Ukrainian soldiers say.
According to Ukrainian troops, they were forced to return fire as a sabotage group approached their positions. Although they are trying to observe a ceasefire agreement, the soldiers say they will fight if provoked, Ukraine Today reports.
Meanwhile, locals say the Ukrainian army helps them, providing food and warm clothing donated by volunteers.
