Activists have on Monday been creating and distributing on Twitter and Facebook photos and video materials about Nadezhda Savchenko in different languages with the hashtag #FreeSavchenko, Radio Liberty has reported.
A Twitter storm is being actively supported by the lawyers of the Ukrainian prisoner - Mark Feygin and Nikolai Polozov.
The embassies of Ukraine in various countries have also joined in the Twitter storm. In particular, statements with information about Savchenko have been posted by Ukrainian embassies in the UK, Macedonia, Japan, Armenia, Kuwait and the Ukrainian Embassy to the Holy See (Vatican City).
U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Payette also tweeted in support of the campaign.
