Russian-backed militants on Tuesday shelled residential areas of Avdiivka, injuring one person, head of the Interior Ministry in Donetsk region Viacheslav Abroskin wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
"The militants are shelling Avdiivka - they hit multi-storey residential houses pn Molodezhnaya Street. One woman was hospitalized with injuries," Abroskin wrote.
"An investigative team of the city police department of Avdiivka is working at the scene," Abroskin said.
