Special permits are now required to cross the demarcation line between areas of Ukraine controlled by government forces and those areas of the country seized by Russian-backed militants, Ukraine’s TSN television news service reported on Wednesday.
In order to obtain a permit, Ukrainian citizens and foreigners have to apply at police departments in either Mariupol, Debaltseve, Starobelske or Velyka Novosilka.
Residents in the parts of Ukraine where Russian-backed militants have seized control can apply for permits at checkpoints on the demarcation line, TSN reported.
