In total, 35,002 measles cases have been registered in Ukraine since year-start, as of March 29, 2019.
Some 2,063 people were infected with measles in Ukraine within a week, March 22 through March 29, according to the Public Health Center at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
"35,002 Ukrainians got measles from December 28, 2018, to March 29, 2019," the Center's press service wrote on Facebook on April 1.

As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Public Health Center, from the beginning of the year (from December 28, 2018 to March 22, 2019) some 32,939 people fell ill with measles in Ukraine, namely 14,830 adults and 18,109 children. A total of 14 people died from measles complications. During the 12th week of the current year (March 15-22), some 2,179 people got measles: 1,020 adults and 1,159 children.
