The participants of the Ukrainian-U.S. Fearless Guardian 2015 exercises that started at the Yavorivskiy training grounds in Lviv region on Monday will practice interaction and communication between them, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said on Monday during his working visit to Lviv region, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has told an UNIAN correspondent.
As reported earlier, the joint exercises will involve 290 U.S. paratroopers from the U.S. Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade, and combat units of the Ukrainian National Guard.
"Ukraine has [military] equipment, and it’s not bad. However, it is extremely important to ensure the coordination of the Ukrainian armed forces, the National Guard and other law enforcement agencies during the conduct of hostilities," Avakov said.
"The most important task that the participants should practice during the military exercises is communication and interaction with each other. The wars are won not with weapons, but with skills," he said.
