Ukraine Today TV channel begins broadcasting in Germany

Ukrainian international news channel Ukraine Today on May 4 began broadcasting on the network of German cable provider Unitymedia, the channel has announced.

"Unitymedia is the leading cable network in Germany. It is present in 800 cities and provides access to more than seven million households," reads a statement on the channel's Web site.

According to the report, Ukraine Today is now included in the provider’s basic cable package.

Ukraine Today is also working on creating a Russian version of its programming, the launch of which is scheduled for this summer.

As UNIAN reported earlier, one of Ukraine’s largest Ukrainian media holdings - 1+1 Media - launched the international TV news channel Ukraine Today in test mode on August 11, 2014. The channel began full broadcasting when it was officially launched on August 24.

Today the channel broadcasts in the cable networks of 12 countries, as well as on the Internet. The main objective of Ukraine Today is to provide coverage of events in Ukraine to an international audience.
