Zelensky: Over 200 Ukrainians held in occupied Donbas, more than 100 – in Crimea and Russia

The president added that the efforts should continue for a specific purpose – the release by the "all for all" formula.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his speech at the Munich Security Conference paid special attention to the issue of mutual release of held persons.

More than 200 Ukrainians are being illegally held in inhumane conditions by militants in Donbas, and more than 100 Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars are being held in the temporarily occupied Crimea and in Russia, Zelensky said.

The president added that the trend toward mutual release of held persons should continue for a specific purpose – the release by the "all for all" formula.

"We cannot stop while more than 200 Ukrainians are still being held in inhumane conditions in the temporarily uncontrolled territories of Donbas. And more than 100 Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars are being held in Crimea and on the territory of the Russian Federation," the president added.
