United States Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power gave Ukraine Today an exclusive interview during her Kyiv visit to discuss ways of stopping the Kremlin’s aggression and to address the situation in the UN Security Council.
According to Power, the U.S. president may be reluctant to provide lethal weapons to Ukraine due to risks of military escalation that may follow. However, Washington is willing to use economic and political isolation of Russia to provide for the implementation of Minsk Agreements, Ukraine Today reports.
“Overwhelmed by the Ukrainian spirit,” the U.S. ambassador to the UN called her trip to Ukraine a great opportunity to get facts and the truth about the reality of the Ukrainian crisis, as Russia dramatically distorts the information regarding Ukraine at the UN Security Council, she said.
