The annual Air and Space Show in Paris has seen the presentation of the new AN-178, a Ukrainian multipurpose transport plane designed and manufactured by the Antonov bureau in Kyiv.
This is the first public display of the unique aircraft abroad since its Kyiv presentation on April 16, Ukraine Today reports.
Carrying maximum 18 tonnes of cargo, AN-178 may be also interesting to potential purchasers with its ability to land on almost any surface, and its competitive price of $20-25 million.
Over 1,000 of these planes are expected to be sold on international markets.
