Khmelnitsky regional police detained three out of six convicts who had escaped from an escort train earlier today, attacking the guards, according to the press service of the Interior Ministry.
"A handgun that had been forcefully taken by one of the fugitives from the National Guard officer during escape, was recovered,” reads the report.
The special operation aimed at detaining the rest of the fugitives is continuing. Police helicopters have been involved in the search.
