A Ukrainian court has examined an appeal from a former police chief Oleksiy Pukach sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of journalist Georgy Gongadze, according to Ukraine Today
Two years ago, Pukach was found guilty of killing the investigative journalist and cutting off his head in 2010, Ukraine Today reports.
Former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma was prosecuted for ordering the execution style killing but the case against him collapsed.
