The Ukrainian Air Force will be modernized in 2016, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said during his visit to Kharkiv Kozhedub Air Force University on Wednesday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"I have decided that the next year will be a year of modernization and development of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On this basis, the task of the university is very difficult. It's about the development of training facilities, generation of scientific ideas for the development of the Air Force, setting up teams able to carry out combat missions and tasks for training of personnel," he said.

"With no modern air force, any armed forces will face problems," he said.
