Meet Ukraine's cybercrime police tracking down internet hackers

Ukraine Today presents Ukraine’s 250-strong cybercrime police department. Identifying hackers and scammers and learning how to counteract them are the unit’s main tasks. It's been running for three years now. Most cases deal with financial fraud.

Ukraine has become a kind of Mecca for card criminals around the world. Every day, they launder almost $450,000 a day, Ukraine Today reports.

To strengthen the cybercrime police department, Ukraine's Internal Affairs Ministry recently announced the creation of a new cyber police agency, with top special agents to be paid UAH 30,000 hryvnia, equivalent to $1,300, monthly.
