The Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR Main Intelligence Department warns against cyberattacks on Ukrainian media websites, as the Russian occupiers have brought a powerful hardware and software complex to the occupied city of Donetsk, which is designed for distributed cyberattacks such as "Denial of Service" (DDoS).
The occupiers plan to use the equipment to limit access of residents in temporarily occupied territory to Ukrainian media websites.
Colonel of the Russian Armed Forces Sergey Fedchenko, who "heads the department for information isolation in the combat area," is in charge of cyberattacks on Ukraine's informational space, the Ukrainian intelligence service said.
