Nadiya Svitlychna was famous Ukrainian lawyer
Victor and Kateryna Yushchenko offered sympathy to the family of the famous Ukrainian lawyer Nadiya Svitlychna over her death, according to the President’s press-office.
“We were deeply sad to learn about the death of Nadiya Svitlychna, the famous lawyer, active member of the the Ukraine Helsinki Group, sincere daughter of her motherland, loving wife, and mother,” they wrote.
The President said Nadiya would always be remembered as an ardent fighter for Ukraine’s independence who had devoted all her life to the people of Ukraine and their difficult path to democracy and freedom.
