Positive foreign trade balance of Ukraine soared by 44.6%

Trade operations carried out with partners from 211 countries

The positive foreign trade balance of Ukraine for the first half-year of 2008 soared by 44.6%, up to US $ 2 billion 643.3 million compared with the same period of the last year.

UNIAN was informed about it at the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.

According to the information of the committee, in the first half-year, the export of services made up US $5 billion 681.7 million, the import – US $3 billion 038.4 million. Compared to the first half-year of 2007, the export soared by 47%, the import – by 49.2%.

Ukraine carried out foreign trade operations with partners from 211 world countries.
