The Interior Ministry plans to increase the number of foot patrol police officers in Ukraine, Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov stated at a briefing in Kharkiv on Friday, according to a UNIAN correspondent.
The ministry has paid insufficient attention to this issue, Avakov noted.
"We will strengthen this component," he added.
In addition, the ministry also plans to announce the additional selection of patrol officers, investigators and operatives.
