Two Ukrainians released from militant captivity - Poroshenko

Ukrainian citizens Volodymyr Zhemchuhov and Yuriy Suprun have been released from the captivity of the Russian-backed militants in Donbas, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko wrote on Facebook.

"Volodymyr Zhemchuhov and Yuriy Suprun have been freed from captivity! They will receive medical assistance they require," the president wrote.

"We will continue to fight for the liberation of all Ukrainians," said Petro Poroshenko.

On April 13, 2016 the UN Office in Ukraine told about a representative of the UN Mission Yuriy Suprun, a former SBU employee, who had been captured by militants. The UN Office has urged the militants to release the man.
