Lawyer tells who tipped FSB on Sushchenko

Mark Feygin, the Russian lawyer of a Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko whom Russia accuses of “espionage”, has said that it was a “family friend” who had tipped the Russian Federal Security Service which led to Sushchenko’s arrest in Moscow September 30, TV Channel 5 reports.

"He [Roman Sushchenko] visited his brother in Moscow several times. He contacted a family friend. A family friend simply had him locked up. That’s it," said the lawyer.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Federal Security Service September 30 detained in Moscow a correspondent of Ukrinform Roman Sushchenko, labeling him a “Ukrainian intelligence officer” who allegedly "deliberately collected information on the activities of the Russian armed forces and the national guard."
