The SBU Security Service of Ukraine will give a legal assessment of the statements of Ukrainian MP Nadiia Savchenko that Ukraine should abandon the legitimate rights to annexed Crimea in exchange for Donbas de-occupation, said SBU chief of staff Oleksandr Tkachuk, according to Obozrevatel, a Ukrainian online news outlet.
"We will provide a legal assessment of Savchenko's statements. But it is too early to say whether this statement leads to some legitimization of the occupation of Crimea, or it is just a thought she inadvertently formulated. But we definitely paid attention to her statement," Tkachuk said.
