The Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry has approved a draft Cabinet resolution stipulating the reduction of a speed limit in Ukrainian settlements to 50 kilometers per hour, according to the press service of the State Road Agency of Ukraine, Ukravtodor.
If passed, the regulation will oblige motorists to obey a 50 km/h speed limit within settlements instead of the currently enforced 60 km/h limit.
At the same time, the maximum allowed speed shall not exceed 60 km/h at night (from 23:00 to 6:00).
