British NGO contributes to humanitarian demining in Donbas

The UK-based non-governmental charity organization The Halo Trust on Monday, August 14, started mine clearance works in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine, according to the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

Demining efforts are starting off from the villages of Talakivka, Hnutove, Mariupol district; and the town of Myrne, Volnovakha district - Ukraine’s defense ministry

The Halo Trust, British and U.S. NGO conducting humanitarian de-mining in war-affected areas is going to clear mines in Donbas. The press service of Ukraine’s defense ministry reported that on Thursday evening.

The Halo Trust is the world’s largest humanitarian mine clearance organization, based in the UK, engaged in saving lives and restoring communities threatened by landmines and other weapons of war, such as cluster bombs, stockpiles of small arms and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
