The State Migration Service of Ukraine has denied Russian media reports that the database of Ukrainians' biometric passports was leaked after a hacker attack.
"FSB-bots are so indefatigably energetic in an effort to spread panic among the Ukrainian population. If this energy could have been used for the benefit of the [Russian] people ... [We're announcing] officially: the Ukrainian passports database has not been hacked. This database is not connected to the Internet," the service wrote on Facebook on Monday, November 13.
Earlier, there were media reports that Ukrainian passport holders' data had been exposed because of a leak caused by a hacker attack.
