300 million hryvnias invested into Bukovel development this year
On the results of 2007, 300 million hryvnias will be invested into Bukovel ski resort, director general of Bukovel travel complex Oleksandr Shevchenko said to UNIAN agency.
According to him, this investment will allow Bukovel resort to establish 14 modern ski lifts and 50 kilometers of alpine skiing track before the beginning of the winter season 20072008. The hotel base of the complex will be able to receive up to 1 thousand 200 tourists. About 12 thousand of tourists may stay in numerous hotels and resort bases, which are situated near Bukovel resort – in Polyanytzya, Tatariv and Yablunytzya villages.
According to the words of O. Shevchenko, as of today, Bukovel occupies the first place in the Eastern Europe by volume of investments, having taken lead over some well-known ski resorts in Poland and Slovakia.
