7.6 mln ha sowed under winter crops
According to the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Boris Supikhanov, the Ukrainian farmers have already finished the sowing campaign of winter crops, according to APK-Inform.
According to him, they sowed 7.6 mln ha under winter crops (except rapeseeds), and 1.3 mln ha under winter rapeseeds.
Reference: Last year the sowing area under winter crops for 2007 totaled 6.9 mln ha. At that the sowing area under winter wheat totaled about 5.8 mln ha, rye - about 400.000 ha, barley - about 530.000 ha.
