In investigating the reasons of explosion in the Zasyadko mine
During the preliminary investigation of the reasons of explosion which took place on 18 November, 1 and 2 December 2007 at the lease enterprise “Zasyadko Mine” gas-dynamic processes were recognized which the Ukrainian scientists and experts of coal sphere had never faced before, according to the government’s press-office.
In this connection the Government of Ukraine made a request to Head of Government of the Russian Federation Viktor Zubkov, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland Donald Tusk, Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to provide possible consultative and practicable aid in investigating the reasons of the accident, liquidating its consequences and preventing situations of a similar nature in the mentioned and other mines in the future.
