Consequences of the latest disaster may be worse than reported in 2008.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says a hospital treating COVID-19 patients located in the town of Halych in Ukraine's Ivano-Frankivsk region has been flooded as a result of heavy rainfall and overflowing rivers.
"We've inspected the plain area. It's clear that the situation is critical. In fact, the flood exceeds the scale of that reported in 2008. A district hospital in the town of Halych has been flooded. Patients are being evacuated. There are certain complications as the hospital also hosts coronavirus patients," he said during his visit to the region on June 24.
