Ukraine's health minister: Over 7,400 children, 10,700 healthcare workers contract COVID-19

Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says 7,439 children and 10,705 healthcare workers have contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) since the start of the pandemic.

"In the past day, 1,670 people tested positive for the coronavirus, including 77 children and 91 healthcare workers. Some 467 new patients were hospitalized. There were 36 deaths and 584 recoveries," he said at a briefing on August 26, as reported by the Health Ministry on Facebook.

As many as 53,454 patients have already recovered.
