President Victor Yushchenko met with a player of Ukrainian national football team and captain of reigning Russian Premier League champions Zenit Saint Petersburg Anatoliy Tymoschuk, according to the President`s press-office.
At the meeting President Yushchenko informed the sportsman that he is awarded with a title of Honored worker of physical culture and sports of Ukraine. He also greeted Mr. Tymoshchuk with Zenit winning UEFA Cup, saying that “it is a pleasure to know that the captain of the winning team is citizen and a true patriot of Ukraine”.
