A total of 21 soldiers of the 40th Kryvbass territorial defense battalion were killed in the fighting for Debaltseve, while another 10 are missing, the battalion commander Mykola Kolesnyk wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.
"The losses of the 40th battalion near Debaltseve: 21 killed, 10 missing," he said.
He also said that 97 soldiers of his battalion had been captured by the Russian-backed militants.
