Russian backed illegal armed groups continue shelling the positions of the Ukrainian army in Donbas: from 0500 to 1800 Kyiv time on Friday they used mortars and rocket-propelled grenades 12 times, while small arms were used 14 times.
The press center of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine informed about this on its Facebook page on Friday.
"Russian terrorist groups continue firing, focusing on the Donetsk sector. Militants used a 120mm caliber mortars to fire at the village of Opytne at 1435, 1515 and 1530 Kyiv time today. The village of Pisky was also shelled with mortars at 1530 and about 1600 Kyiv time, whereas an attack on the town of Avdiyivka was registered at 1650 Kyiv time," the ATO press center reported.
The Mariupol sector also saw military attacks: militants shelled the village of Shyrokyne four times during Friday, using small arms and mortars," the report said.
Small arms were also used in the Artemivsk sector to fire at the town of Mayorsk three times and the village of Leninske one time, the press center said.
