Russian-backed militants fired on the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces 21 times on Thursday from 1800 to midnight, the headquarters of the Anti-Terrorist Operation reported on Friday.
According to the report, the militants were most active around Ukrainian positions near the town of Avdiivka, the villages of Pisky, Opytne, Shyrokyne in Donetsk region, as well as near the villages of Pavlopil and Hnutove in Luhansk region.
"In particular, the militants fired 120mm mortars 12 times, which was another gross violation of the Minsk agreements," the headquarters said.
In addition, the militants fired 122mm artillery on the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces near the town of Avdiivka. They also fired tank rounds near Avdiivka and the village of Pavlopil.
"There were no attacks on the villages from 1800 to midnight on April 9," the report says.
