Two soldiers were killed and several injured from the 30th mechanized brigade as a result of the attack on Ukrainian positions near Debaltseve in the Donbas, according to a military spokesman.
The Ukrainian official claimed that Russia-backed militants used 82mm-caliber mortars in the attack, later adding Grad rocket fire and 120mm-caliber mortars, Ukraine Today reports.
Over 100 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed since a ceasefire in the Donbas was agreed in Minsk on February, 12.
