From midnight to 1800 Kyiv time on Friday the situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine remained tense. Russian-backed militants violated the truce in Donbas 28 times on Friday.
"Illegal armed formations have violated the truce 28 times [today]," the ATO press center reported.
In particular, on Friday morning, militants attacked the ATO positions in the village of Shyrokyne from mortars and heavy machine guns three times.
As UNIAN reported, two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 26 servicemen were wounded in the ATO zone in the last day.
