Another two soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine have been released through the efforts of the negotiators with the militants, National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"Today, another two soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine, Mykola Valebniy and Ihor Panchyshyn, have been released from the militant captivity through the efforts of Ukrainian negotiators," he said.
Ukraine earlier said around 400 of its citizens were being held by the Russian-backed militants in the east of the country, but some other independent sources have put the number as high as 800.
