ATO update: Militants continue firing on Ukrainian troops from artillery systems

Russian-backed militants have shelled the village of Shyrokyne, which is located near the Ukrainian-controlled city of Mariupol, using mortars, grenade launchers, artillery systems, and small arms, the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) press center reported.

Militants continue firing on the positions of Ukraine's ATO forces, the ATO press center wrote on Facebook.

In particular, since 1800 Kyiv time on Sunday, they have been shelling the village of Pisky, which is located near the destroyed Donetsk airport, the village of Starohnativka and Butivka coalmine in Donetsk region, using large-caliber mortars banned by the Minsk peace agreements.

"The village of Krasny Pakhar in the Artemivsk sector was attacked by a tank, which lasted for about an hour. The village of Leninske was under mortar fire, coupled with heavy machine gunfire," the ATO press center said.

What is more, mercenaries opened fire on the checkpoint of Zaitseve after the largest number of people had gathered there. They were firing from a tank and artillery systems.

In the Mariupol sector, terrorists were shelling the village of Shyrokyne, using mortars, grenade launchers, artillery systems, and small arms. From evening until morning, it was quiet only in the Luhansk sector.

Enemy unmanned aerial vehicles were spotted in the sky on the routes between the village of Slovianoserbsk, the village of Raihorodka and the town of Schastia in Luhansk region, and between the village of Pavlopil and the village of Pyschevyk in Donetsk region.
