The combined Russian-separatist forces committed an armed provocation in the village of Shyrokyne on July 30, presidential administration spokesman for the Anti-Terrorist Operation Colonel Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"In the direction of Mariupol, our advanced positions near the village of Starohnativka became the epicenter of the fighting. About six hours before and after dawn, the militants had been constantly firing 122mm guns from a distance of more than six kilometers," he said.
"In the evening, the enemy committed a short armed provocation in Shyrokyne. It was rather quiet on the other frontiers of this area," Lysenko said.
